2nd Period and Mr Moore’s Class

2nd Period ONLY – Someone pointed out that you have a Family History due date on Monday so you may have an extra day to turn in Chapter 5,6,7 (I did have 8 up accidently) questions and color journals. They are due 12/8/09

December 2nd, 2009

30+pages!! oh my!

My apologies, class. This Chapter is inordinately longer than all the rest (partly because so much happens!) Read up to page 135 in chapter 7 tonight and we’ll save the quiz for Chapter 8, not 7.  Please let others in the class know.

Study Questions/Color Journal/Quiz

Green Light

Please read Chapter 7 tonight and be prepared for a quiz tomorrow. Also, study questions and color journal for 5, 6 and 7 are due Monday 12/7.

Remember, your journal comments must be as detailed as possible. Some of the journals I received from the last batch have one word in the connotations and comments section and those assignments will not receive full credit.

The Eyes of Dr. T.J. Eckleburg

are watching…..

you! As you read, consider the use of color as it is threaded throughout the novel. Particularly, the connection between the use of “eyes” watching over the valley of ashes below and Mr. Wilson’s eyes.
